So you want to be in the band...

We extend a welcome to all who want to join Embassy Worship. We have a great time together making music, learning about the Lord, and simply doing life together. We are also on the front line of a very important ministry in the church, and as such we take things very seriously.

We do a series of interviews and auditions, but most importantly - you need to know if you are called to be on a worship team. Before you go any further, download and read this article.

Here's what we are looking for:

1. Be actively pursing the Lord (Ps 27:4)
2. Be Called - Is your role on the worship team an act of obedience to God?
3. Be Gifted - How will you serve on this team, in what ways will you help us and our church?
4. Be Equipped  (Confidently ready to serve)

Although there are many more questions to ask yourself before entering the public worship arena, there really is only one that counts: are you in the worship band as an act of obedience to God? Everyone is called to praise God and sing to His Holy name, but not everyone is called to be in the worship band – even if you have musical talent. Your involvement should be an obedient response to a call from the Lord.

This team will have fun, always growing in the expression of our gifts. We want to be strong musically – singing songs that help the congregation respond with extravagance of heart and spirit to God. We will sing the songs that we find draw us into worship. 

We wish to create an atmosphere of righteousness, peace and joy in the Spirit where we as a congregation can focus on giving our all in worship. We must all realize that the Spirit is not limited by our weakness any more than He is enhanced by our strength. But like a Lover, He is drawn to our weak glances of love towards Him.

Congregations respond freely to worship teams that approach the throne with confidence. We cannot lead people to places we have not been ourselves (personally and as a team). Will you bring that throne focus, lovesick heart, servant minded and musical competence to the team? Are you willing to grow in these areas?

We want to build a team that consistently ministers to the Lord with overflowing hearts, while inviting the congregation to enter His presence with faith-filled offerings of worship. Our leadership will help the congregation express a unified, wholehearted response to the Lord. We desire to be lovesick, obedient, sincere and in daily pursuit of Him - for life. We serve the congregation with the fruit of that lifestyle.

Being a part of this team is a commitment to a fasted lifestyle – not just a Sunday band.
