About Us

Leading people to an encounter with Jesus in every worship service.

It's such a privilege to be entrusted with leading our church family in worship. We aspire to be a presence-based ministry. We want to have ' a long obedience in the same direction' - to be found faithful in what He has called us to do.

This term ‘presence-based’ is meant to describe an approach to ministry - one that starts and ends in God’s presence.

  • We don't want to perform for our congregation, we want them to participate.
  • We don't strive to influence them, but would much prefer that God influence us all towards himself.
  • We want our team to be led by the Spirit - in life, on stage, in preparation.
  • We don't simply play our instruments - We are His instrument.

Success in this approach is not measured by fruit, numbers, CD sales, fame or even influence - it is measured simply by obedience. Obedience to what? To His voice. Only the One who gave you the task can judge you to be successful at it.

Outside the church, to the ends of the earth.

We also take His presence into the community around us, in cafe's, club stages, city and country fairs and events. Musicians and singers are all intent on not simply presenting a nice piece of art, but bringing His presence into the circumstances and venues they find themselves. We will go where he leads us, and we pray for open doors all the time.

A family

We are essentially a community of people doing life together, helping one another to cultivate a deepening love for Jesus. We love being together, making music together, learning together... in fact worship is much more fun when we do it together. We hold these values as a community:

  • Honour: we prefer and treat each other as we would Christ - in speech and thought.
  • Ownership: we serve with a sense of responsibility and accountability to God. We do our best because we love Him and His church.
  • Passion: we keep our vision in view - we come together excited to be with each other and filled with a faith and expectation for what God could have in store.

A healthy community is the right context for God-pleasing worship.
